“Hi, Dave Krusen here, and I’m excited to announce I’ll be playing with some friends
at the upcoming Wishlist Foundation pre-party fundraiser events in New York City prior to
Pearl Jam’s Madison Square Garden shows. Please come and celebrate with us at the Hard Rock as the Wishlist Foundation raises awareness and funds for Pearl Jam’s VITOLOGY Foundation and SCOPE and Teach Rock. The events kick off September 3rd and 4th at 2pm. See you there.”
The Wishlist Foundation
The Wishlist Foundation is a nonprofit organization run by Pearl Jam fans, for Pearl Jam fans. Established in 2004, the foundation organizes pre-concert fundraisers and events to support a variety of charities, many of which are close to the hearts of the band members and their fans. Over the years, the Wishlist Foundation has raised millions of dollars for various causes, making a significant impact in communities around the world.
Pearl Jam’s VITOLOGY Foundation
One of the primary beneficiaries of the Wishlist Foundation’s efforts is Pearl Jam’s own VITOLOGY Foundation. Founded by the band in 2006, the VITOLOGY Foundation focuses on supporting nonprofit organizations in the fields of community health, the environment, arts, education, and social change. The foundation channels the band’s commitment to giving back into tangible actions that benefit communities in need.
Supporting SCOPE and TEACH ROCK
In addition to the VITOLOGY Foundation, the Wishlist Foundation’s upcoming pre-party events will also raise funds for SCOPE and TEACH ROCK. SCOPE (Summer Camp Opportunities Promote Education) provides underserved children with life-changing opportunities at summer camps, helping them develop essential life skills and create lasting memories.
TEACH ROCK, another beneficiary, is an innovative organization dedicated to providing free, arts-driven educational materials to teachers across the country. Founded by Steven Van Zandt of Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band, TEACH ROCK aims to keep the arts alive in schools by integrating music history and culture into the curriculum.
So fans who are in town for the Pearl Jam shows, be sure to turn up at the Hard Rock on September 3rd and 4th at 2 pm.
