Mike Patton recently performed live for the first time in a couple of years. He also just performed with Mr. Bungle.
Mike Patton returns
Even though there has been a good chunk of time since he last performed live, Patton proved to be an incredible force during this recent live performance. It is needless to mention that Mike is one of those voices which resonates in our minds, not just in metal and rock, but throughout all of music.
Between Patton’s incredible vocal work and the band’s stellar instrumental performance, this Mr. Bungle show made for an awesome experience. Fans are certainly glad to witness Mike back out on stage and enjoying himself. As per past interviews, he has expressed some difficulties of his and that, for some time, he was not up to performing live.
Back in 2021, Mr. Bungle and Faith No More shows were canceled due to Patton citing mental health struggles. Per a past interview with Rolling Stone that took place earlier this year, Mike shared the following (regarding his struggles with Agoraphobia):
“It’s still going on — but it’s better. [Pauses]. It’s easy to blame it on the pandemic. But I’ll be honest, man: At the beginning of the pandemic, I was like, ‘This is f***ing great. I can stay home and record.’ I’ve got a home studio. So I was like, ‘Yeah, what’s the big deal?’ And then something clicked, and I became completely isolated and almost antisocial [and] afraid of people.”
