Can you tell us a bit about your band?
WildEyes is a rock band based out of Los Angeles, California. The band started in 2016 when lead vocalist, Crystal Douesnard, and lead guitarist, Thomas Moore, decided that after a couple of years working on different projects, that they would join forces and write their own music.
WildEyes has the catchy melodies of modern pop, while incorporating the nostalgia of the classic Rock n’ Roll we all love. With innovative and tasteful guitar solos, driving melodies, and high-energy live shows, Wild Eyes is here to create art to withstand the test of time.
Who are some of your main influences?
WildEyes has a really cool dynamic because they have such diverse influences. Thomas really loves bands and finds inspiration from bands like Metallica, Led Zeppelin, and even Blink-182. But on the other hand, Crystal is really inspired by Michael Jackson, Journey, and My Chemical Romance. You can really hear the inspirations in the songwriting.
Can you tell us a bit about your new song, “Messin Around”?
“Messin’ Around” is about breaking free from the boundaries that other people create for you. Sometimes we all can feel trapped by people or even places and this song represents finding the confidence and strength in yourself to move forward.
