Foo Fighters guitarist Chris Shiflett has announced a United Kingdom tour, and he’s also released a new song called “This Ol’ World.”

Shiflett told NME the song is inspired by Brexit in the UK and President Donald Trump’s election in the United States, but that he kept the lyrics vague and open to interpretation.

“It’s always a struggle to write songs about current events or politics, but how can you not be affected by what the fuck is happening?,” explained Shiflett. “Over here we’ve got Trump and over there in the UK you’ve got Brexit and Farage. It seems like every western country is dealing with its own version of Trumpism and the rejection of the status quo and liberal policies.”

Foo Fighters are set to tour Europe this summer, and play North American festivals in the spring. The band last released Concrete and Gold in 2017, and they recently postponed two concerts in New Orleans so Dave Grohl could have surgery on his arm to fix a longtime issue.
