The Police drummer Stewart Copeland is scoring a new live adaptation of Ben Hur, and he had several famous friends show up to support him at the Valley Performing Arts Center in Northridge earlier this week. Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins, U2 guitarist The Edge, Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, and Tool drummer Danny Carey attended and were photographed with Copeland backstage.
According to Jeff Kravitz, they had a ‘drum off’ in the green room, though it is unknown if he is speaking literally or figuratively. See the photos of the four legendary drummers with U2’s iconic guitarist below. System of a Down frontman Serj Tankian also attended.
