CdMfPPkVIAAMFgYGarbage have announced details on their new album Strange Little Birds on Twitter and Facebook which will be released on June 10th. According to Rolling Stone, the band started recording the album in drummer Butch Vig’s basement and finished it at Red Razor Studios in Los Angeles. In a statement, Vig and frontwoman Shirley Manson said the band’s guiding principle was keeping things fresh and not fussing over the details. As a result, Manson said Strange Little Birds is a bit of a throwback to their earlier releases, particularly their classic 1995 self-titled debut. Strange Little Birds is the first release from the band since 2012’s Not Your Kind Of People.
