Rush frontman Geddy Lee was recently spotted in attendance at Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Toronto Blue Jays. He had to watch his favorite side Blue Jays lose the game in one of the most dramatic finales in recent memory. The Los Angeles Dodgers edged the Toronto Blue Jays 5-4 in 11 innings to claim the 2025 World Series and become the first team in 25 years to repeat as champions.
Geddy Lee watches Toronto Blue Jays lose
Pictures have emerged of Geddy Lee in the stands, watching the game.
Geddy Lee is as dedicated a fan of the Toronto Blue Jays as anyone in the stands. He has been a season-ticket holder for many years and is often seen behind home plate with a scorecard in hand. In 2013, he threw the ceremonial first pitch at the Jays’ home opener and joked about having practiced his curveball for the event. His passion for the team even led him to participate in baseball-themed media; in 2025, he was quoted expressing cautious optimism about the Jays’ postseason run.
In a recent game, the Blue Jays took a commanding 3-0 lead when Bo Bichette hit a three-run homer off Shohei Ohtani in the third inning. Toronto then extended their lead to 4-2 later in the game, thanks to an RBI double by Andrés Giménez. However, in the top of the ninth inning, with the Jays ahead 4-3, the Dodgers’ Miguel Rojas hit a game-tying home run, becoming the first player to do so in the ninth inning or later of a Game 7.
Extra innings followed and in the top of the 11th, the Dodgers’ Will Smith delivered the decisive blow with a solo homer — becoming the first player to hit an extra-inning homer in a winner-take-all World Series game. The Jays came up short despite out-playing the Dodgers in many metrics over the series. One call-out: in the decisive game they were two outs away from victory.
From Hollywood to royalty, the 2025 World Series featured A-Listers in droves. Eugene Levy and Annie Murphy, both from Schitt’s Creek added a dose of national pride to the Rogers Centre stands.
In contrast, the Los Angeles games attracted a different kind of celebrity energy. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle attended Game 4 at Dodger Stadium, mingling in the celebrity suites alongside LeBron James and his wife Savannah, who turned up to support the Dodgers. H
Hollywood star Brad Pitt was also seen enjoying the action, joined by Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, both longtime fixtures in the L.A. sports scene.
Pop power couple Justin and Hailey Bieber appeared earlier in the series, with Justin donning a Blue Jays jersey in a show of support for his home country despite the California setting.
Even fashion icon Sydney Sweeney made waves with her appearance at Dodger Stadium, sporting a cowboy-boot twist on traditional baseball style.
