Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong recently signed a Kurt Cobain guitar for a fan. The fan discussed meeting him and getting the guitar signed on Reddit.

nirvanam8 posted:

“I met Billie Joe Armstrong a few weeks ago at a Longshot concert and I thought I’d never meet him. I had a conversation with him about some early Green Day songs and he confirmed that Going To Pasalacqua is about a funeral home. Absolutely surreal. He signed my Kurt Cobain Jagstang pickguard.

He was also kind of drunk after the show because he ate after the show and was drinking and he came out and was casually making himself drinks at the bar. I handed him the marker and he tried to write with the wrong side so he was pretty blasted lol.”

He wrote in a comment, “I don’t think he drinks a lot or as much as he used because he’s aged very well but he was definitely drinking right after the show and was pretty drunk lol. He still looks pretty young.”
