Appetite for Distortion podcast host Brando has shared a quote from former Guns N’ Roses manager Doug Goldstein regarding a ‘leaked’ new album tracklist with a release date of November 25, 2020. The tracklist and release date have been largely scrutinized by fans, with the date being all but guaranteed as false.
Brando tweeted, “Ex-GNR manager, Doug Goldstein sent me the following quotes on this ‘leaked’ document concerning a new Guns N’ Roses album…Doug: No way Universal would release with NO marketing.”
“Me: So you’re confident it’s fake?
Doug: Not necessarily.. I honestly believe it probably had merit along time ago.. put it this way.. I saw a couple hundred just like this during Chinese! Calendar dates are constantly being pushed.. ‘Particularly with GNR’!!”
A fan named Declan responded, “THIS IS FAKE!!! PLEASE STOP GIVING IT ATTENTION!!!”
AFD responded, “Doug wanted to see what Alan [Niven] was talking about with ‘new’ GNR music that some outlets covered recently. I showed him the document, saying it’s fake. I quoted his interesting response.”
