Howard Stern discussed Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose canceling his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live yesterday.

Howard and Jimmy Kimmel are really good friends, they spent the New Years together in Florida. When Stern came back to work on Monday and talked about visiting with Jimmy and spending the last few days with him I was anxious to hear if he mentioned the GNR rumors. He said nothing at all, didn’t even mention that their was a rumor about Cochella. It felt to me like he clearly spoke with Kimmel about it and was told not to mention anything.

Today during the news, Robin brings up that GNR confirmed the reunion for Cochella and says something to the extent of “who knows how long this will last, Axl Rose was supposed to be on Jimmy Kimmel tonight but pulled out at the last minute due to unforeseen circumstances.”

Howard then says, “Yeah, I spoke with Jimmy about this over the weekend. He told me keep everything extremely quiet but that he was supposed to have the first official Guns N’ Roses reunion on his show.”

Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose has canceled his Jimmy Kimmel Live appearance, the LA Times reports.

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, unfortunately Axl is no longer scheduled to be on Kimmel tomorrow.”

Rose had been officially announced by Jimmy Kimmel’s website on Sunday to be a guest on his show tonight, but the website later pulled the listing. Despite canceling his appearance, Rose took to Twitter this morning to comment on the Guns N’ Roses reunion for the first time.

Jimmy Kimmel also followed Axl Rose and Slash, which hinted at Slash appearing as well. Recent rumors have dated back the reconciliation between the two to before Guns N’ Roses’ 2014 Las Vegas residency, with this 2016 reunion being in the works for 2 years.

Who else is in the Guns N’ Roses 2016 lineup besides Axl, Slash, and Duff McKagan? Could it be Dizzy Reed? Steven Adler? Izzy Stradlin? Matt Sorum? Frank Ferrer? Chris Pittman? Richard Fortus? Dave Kushner?

Could it be Chef? Or is it Mr. Garrison? Or the 1989 Denver Broncos? We’ll find out on Tuesday.

As we have been reporting for months, the reunited Guns N’ Roses will be headlining the Coachella festival in Indio, CA in April 2016. Billboard confirmed our reports last week, also reporting that the band will play the new Las Vegas Arena, which is set to open in April. Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan so far are the only confirmed members.

Alternative Nation has learned that Guns N’ Roses will announce additional United States stadium tour dates in late January 2016. We previously reported on December 1st that around 25 dates were planned, and this still appears to be the case. A show at MetLife stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey (where the New York Jets and New York Giants play) is reportedly in the works.

Consequence of Sound
is reporting that Matt Sorum will be the drummer, but there have been many contradictory reports, with Frank Ferrer even hinting at his own involvement, and Steven Adler publicly lobbying for his job back just a couple of months ago.
