As revealed by a recent Reddit thread on Green Day’s subreddit, a fan who attended Green Day’s recent concert was disappointed with the setlist. This was their first live concert experience, and they had spent around €1000 on a VIP ticket.

The fan was excited to hear some fan favorite songs like “Junkies on High,” “Private Ale,” “Angel Blue,” and “JAR,” but was let down when the concert mostly featured songs from Dookie and American Idiot. They enjoyed hearing hits like “Basket Case,” “Boulevard of Broken Dreams,” and “American Idiot,” but felt the show missed out on songs from other albums like Revolution Radio, The Trilogy, Warning, and 1039/Smooth. Some fans were very upset that “Christie Road” wasn’t played.

One fan also felt that, despite spending a lot of money, the concert didn’t focus enough on what fans wanted. They were disappointed that only five songs from the new album Saviours were performed, even though it was supposed to be a key part of the tour. They had also spent months practicing guitar, hoping to be chosen to play, but that didn’t happen.

While the fan liked the songs from Dookie and American Idiot, they were unhappy about the fact that many fan favorite songs and deep cuts were missing from the setlist.
