It was 35 years ago that Last Will hung out with an up-and-coming local band Green Day that would forever leave their mark on the Bay Area music scene and the rest of the world. They joined in for their first interview before hitting the stage at Berkeley Square way back on July 22nd, 1989.
Following the interview, Last Will aired the original soundboard recording of Green Day’s set that same evening when they were the opening band for Madison, Wisconsin-based band, Killdozer. This recording of Green Day’s set at Berkeley Square includes a couple of rare unreleased tracks.

Meanwhile, Green Day’s ‘Good Riddance’ is featured in the soundtrack of ‘Deadpool & Wolverine.’ Alongside Green Day, it features songs by the likes of Stray Kids and Avril Lavigne.
The superhero film is set to be released in cinemas worldwide next Friday, July 26. Following on from Deadpool 2 (2018), the sequel was co-written by Ryan Reynolds, who reprises his role as the regenerative antihero alongside Hugh Jackman as the mutant X-Men figure.
It has been noted that Deadpool & Wolverine will see both titular characters finally integrated into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it serves as the latest entry in ‘Phase Five’ of the saga, following 2023’s The Marvels.
The official soundtrack is comprised of 18 tracks, including Green Day’s 1997 single ‘Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)’, Stray Kids’ upcoming original song ‘Slash’ and Avril Lavigne’s 2002 ballad ‘I’m With You’.
There are ’00s pop hits from *NSYNC (‘Bye Bye Bye’) and Fergie (‘Glamorous’) too, as well as classic guitar tunes by Huey Lewis & The News (‘The Power Of Love’) and Goo Goo Dolls (‘Iris’).
Additionally, star Jackman appears on the tracklist with ‘The Greatest Show’ from his 2017 musical The Greatest Showman. It features on the album before Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta’s ‘You’re The One That I Want’ from Grease (1978).
