Jack White’s newly wedded wife, Olivia Jean recently took to her Instagram account and posted a picture that was snapped at a beach in St. Lucia. She was donning a black swimsuit as she posed for the picture.
Her caption read:
“Had an incredible time in St. Lucia. Standing in front of the volcanic pitons. Somehow survived without a tan.”
Jack White proposes and marries Olivia Jean on the same night
Jack White proposed to his girlfriend and then married her. All that happened on the same night, in the middle of his concert. The famed rocker was performing in Detroit Friday night, when he summoned his then-girlfriend, Olivia Jean, onto the stage for a White Stripes “Hotel Yorba” duet. White, ring in hand, popped the question. Olivia said yes, and then Jack inquired of the crowd, “It’s been such a great day, mind if we get married right now?”
Jack’s parents, bandmates and an officiant did their part and Jack and Olivia were hitched. White’s mother and Jean’s father also attended the nuptials, and each of the musician’s bass players served as the best man and maid of honor.
This transpired during his Supply Chain Issues tour opener at Detroit’s Masonic Temple Theatre. Jack’s wedding comes after a busy day for him since the release of his new album was also scheduled for Friday, alongside performing the National Anthem for the Detroit Tigers’ Opening Day at Comerica Park.
Jack and Olivia had first met when the former invited her to the Third Man Records studio in 2009. While speaking to a source, he explained how his attitude has changed in the last two years and mentioned that this change made him more open to the idea of giving love another chance after two divorces.
He said:
“There’s been a complete rebirth on all levels of my life throughout the pandemic. I made a goal to myself that no matter how long it lasted I was going to come out of it with a totally different scenario of looking at life.”
