Adriana Gillett, James Hetfield’s girlfriend recently dropped a heartfelt message regarding losing her previous husband in a tragic incident. She posted the emotional statement on her Instagram account here.
“14 years ago today was the most horrific day of my life. Losing my husband and amazing father to my 3 children- everything we thought to be true vanished in a moments time,” Gillett wrote.
“The struggles and the pain were and are real. I remember holding him as he would tear up listening to this song. He would then giggle so hard as he lit up a room with his jokes and big ass smile.”
“He was a strong force of such love so many got to experience,” she continued.
“In a small moments time in despair, he decided to make a horrible decision that unfortunately couldn’t be undone. I know if he could take back what he did, he would in a heart beat. He felt we were better off without him somewhere in his head. Every day since I tell him he couldn’t have been more wrong.”
“We miss you deeply and know you have been our angel guiding us through each day,” she added. “I couldn’t be more proud of how beautiful, kind, brilliant, inspiring, and courageous my 3 kids are. They are my guiding light.”
Gillett concluded her message and called for awareness: “What I am asking is for everyone to help someone they see that might be blue. Hug the ones you love more and don’t wait til tomorrow. Be kind to all, as you don’t know the real story. Stand up for others that may not have it in them at the time to do it for themselves. We are stronger together!”
Gillett is actively involved in community support initiatives and mental health awareness efforts.
Documentation from GoFundMe shows Gillett’s dedication to community support. She has organized various fundraisers, including the Meininger’s CrossFit Scholarship. These efforts demonstrate her commitment to helping others in need.
Her recent message aligns with broader mental health awareness efforts. She emphasizes the importance of community support and recognizing signs of distress in loved ones. The emotional post reminds us of mental health challenges’ impact on families and the vital role of support systems.
