Queens of the Stone Age singer Josh Homme posted a goodbye to his Instagram fans note yesterday, “Thank you Instagram. You been pretty alright. Time to go I reckon. I’m on my own now. You know I don’t belong here. Hell, I even surprised myself. I just wanted you to know… for one moment… I love you. See ya. Remember, this ain’t nothin. Just a moment in time. Do a kindness every day… goodbye.”

He posted a couple of weeks ago, “Finding joy in simple things, late, late in the night…? Yeah. Feels good. We talked & laughed for a bit. Locked eyes for a bit. Then I ate it. I ate it all. Late, late at night… Afterwards, I spent a moment, in stillness, listening to the quiet, desperately trying to remain unheard. Gotcha. I hear ya. You see me hearin you? Shhh. All at once, nothing…

Was an honor for Nikki, Matt Pynn, shoes, twize & myself to@attend a play a few impromptu tunes to celebrate your eternity run (in dez years) at Pappy & Harriets. As always, thanks for treating my squid like the desert girl she is. She’s tough as a mofo. You’re the best. Kisses & blessings on your grand adventure, Joshua.
P.S. thanks to the thrift store Allstate for their kindness. Trav, you aight! #jhobabyduck #pappy&harriets #joshuatree #pioneertown #robin&linda #thriftstoreallstars #party #endofanera #impromptu #imprompthree #squidistoughasamofo #nikkane #mattpynn #qotsa.”
