Rock star Kid Rock recently joined in for a sit-down interview with Fox News host Tucker Carlson. It is no secret that he has been a prominent supporter of former President of The United States Donald Trump. They have been close since the former first visited the latter in the White House in 2017. Previously, an image went viral that featured Kid Rock, Ted Nugent, and Sarah Palin flanking a grinning Trump behind the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office.

Kid Rock makes bold claims about Donald Trump’s supporters

Recently, Kid Rock made some claims. He has claimed there are “a ton” of prominent people in Hollywood in music and film who are “closeted” Donald Trump supporters. The musician, real name Robert James Richie, made the claims during the recent interview on Monday night.

When asked by Carlson if there are other showbiz stars who share his pro-Trump views, Richie claimed that during the 2020 election the former president’s aides would privately name “Hollywood people” who were “in the closet”.

“Yeah there’s a ton of ’em… me and Trump talk about them a lot,” he added.

Kid Rock had also told Tucker Carlson about meeting President Donald Trump, “Right after he got elected, he invited [Sarah Palin] to dinner, and he said, ‘Bring some interesting people.’ So she called me and Ted Nugent, and was like, ‘Hell yeah.’ So I went up there, we started to become buddies. We spend a lot of time at the golf course now, really weird to get phone calls from him.”

Similar to how Trump made some comments on COVID-19 vaccination, Kid Rock had also grabbed the headlines for being a vocal critic of the pandemic guidelines and vaccine mandates, vowing earlier in January that he will not perform at venues that have a vaccine and face mask mandate throughout the duration of his last musical tour, according to USA Today.
