Kid Rock Criticizes Halftime Choice

Kid Rock appeared on Fox & Friends during the week leading up to Super Bowl LX and shared his opinion about the halftime show. The NFL selected Bad Bunny as the headliner, making him the first solo Latino artist to perform a mostly Spanish-language set during the Super Bowl. The decision was meant to reach a wider and more diverse audience.

Kid Rock was not happy with the choice. He said the NFL should think more about its core audience and pick a rock band instead. He pointed to Metallica as the ideal option for the show.

He said, “If the NFL really were all about its stated goals and really wanted to take care of their fan base… there’s a band that checks every single box from San Francisco, by the name of Metallica.”

Metallica Named as His Top Pick

Metallica formed in 1981 and later moved to the San Francisco Bay Area. The band has sold more than 125 million albums and won nine Grammy Awards. Their song “Enter Sandman” is often played at NFL games, which Kid Rock believes makes them a natural fit for the halftime stage.

He also mentioned that local rappers like E-40 and Too Short could be included. While the official halftime show will feature Bad Bunny, Kid Rock is promoting his own alternative halftime event with country and rock performers.
