Gene Simmons Says KISS Recorded New Paul Stanley Song
Gene Simmons has confirmed that KISS have been back in the studio after formally retiring from touring, revealing the band recently recorded a new track written by Paul Stanley. The update suggests the group’s post-farewell era may still include fresh music, even if their days of extensive road work are done.
In an interview, Simmons said, “KISS is in the studio now,” adding that they “just recorded a new song” that Stanley wrote and that it will be released “at some point,” though he declined to share further details.
Simmons also used the conversation to highlight projects outside of KISS, including his film company Simmons Hamilton Films. He said a motion picture titled “Deep Water” was set for a wide US theatrical rollout, naming Sir Ben Kingsley and Mr. Aaron Eckhart as stars and Mr. Renny Harlin as director.
The news arrives after the band wrapped up its “End of the Road” world tour, which ended with shows at Madison Square Garden in December 2023. Simmons and Stanley were the only original members remaining in the touring lineup, alongside drummer Mr. Eric Singer and guitarist Mr. Tommy Thayer.
While no release date has been announced for the new recording, Simmons’ comments make clear KISS are still willing to create new material, keeping the band’s next chapter active even without a full-scale return to touring.
