Last month, Daily Mail, E Online, New York Daily News, SPIN, EW, and many major outlets reports alleged details on how much money Frances Bean Cobain earns every month off her late father Kurt Cobain (reported to be $95,000), and how much she spends per month. The reports, citing divorce documents, stated that she spends $200,000 a month and has a net worth of $11.3 million.

She first tweeted in response, “I’m sorry, but who has the time to spend $200k a month? That’s fucking absurd. None of the information that has been reported is accurate.” She later deleted that tweet.

Cobain later tweeted, “The media will always sensationalize falsities & untruths because that generates buzz for their benefit. Don’t believe everything you read.”

She posted a photo of her father Kurt Cobain on Instagram with the quote, “Don’t believe everything you read.” She reacted to her father’s quote with, “Words pops, word.”

She also promoted hurricane relief charitable causes.
