Late Alice In Chains singer Layne Staley’s mother Nancy sent out the following newsletter last month:

Dear Friends,

Our family is coming up for air after an incredibly sad year. Too many passings…and bad news. We know that we’re not the only ones.

I stood toe-to-toe and face-to-face w/2018 and told it, in no uncertain terms, that it had better have some kindness in store for us.

I’ve attached an invitation from Layne’s sister, Jamie, to view her yoga site, and consider her offer to add to worldwide healing and recovery. I think you’ll be glad to see her work.

Our family hopes that the year has started out well and with promise for you and yours,

Nancy

Below is Jamie’s message:

Hello Global Community and Happy 2018 to You!

I’m Jamie, Layne’s youngest sister. My mom, Nancy, asked me to chime in here on her New Year’s newsletter to let you know how I might be of service to you or someone you love.

For over 16 years I’ve been teaching yoga, Pilates, and movement therapy around the US, Mexico, and Western Europe. I’ve taken my teaching in a new direction this year and have started an online, streaming membership site in order to help more people globally. One thing that Layne and I used to talk about, and agreed upon, was that we wanted to connect with and help more people on a large scale. That is my goal with this site. I can’t describe the positive impact that yoga has made in my life. Not only has it been my career, but it changed the course for the better when I was struggling with depression, anxiety, and addiction. That is why I’d like to make this practice accessible to as many people as possible. I truly believe in, and have experienced the benefits of, yoga helping me with physical healing, depression, anxiety, addiction, energy level, general physical health and well-being. For years I’ve specialized in training teachers to teach yoga and in making the practice of yoga available to people of varied abilities, bodies, health, and experience levels.

My streaming membership site now has over 95 videos available in 12 different categories, from beginner to advanced, and from 10 minutes to 90 minutes. If you think that yoga may be helpful for you, for someone you love, or if you know a yoga enthusiast, please check out what I offer on the site and feel free to forward this information.
