Lindsey Buckingham Stalker Suspect Claims He’s Her Father

A 54-year-old woman accused of stalking Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsey Buckingham has spoken publicly after an alleged assault in Santa Monica, as police continue investigating an incident involving the 75-year-old musician. Authorities said the matter is being handled by specialised units as they work toward an arrest.

KTLA reported that the March 25 attack happened as Buckingham arrived for an appointment at an undisclosed location, when a woman described as a stalker allegedly doused him with an unknown substance before fleeing. The outlet said Buckingham was not injured.

KTLA said the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed the incident and noted its Threat Management Unit is working with the Santa Monica Police Department. Police reportedly believe the suspect is linked to other incidents in Los Angeles, and LAPD told the station that an arrest is imminent.

In the report, the woman identified as Michelle Dick told KTLA she approached Buckingham last week and acknowledged going to his Brentwood home previously, while claiming he is her biological father. When asked about appearing outside the home, she said it happened “one time” last year and added she did not know there was a restraining order.

The alleged encounter follows earlier concerns described in court records, and comes after a separate report describing Buckingham being attacked with a substance during the Santa Monica incident.

KTLA said it has reached out to Buckingham’s team for comment but had not received a response as of its latest update, while the investigation remains active.
