Linkin Park has released a waiver ahead of their rumored comeback concert/special event.
Linkin Park’s announcement of an event on September 5th has got fans excited, and speculating about what is to come. The band has invited fans to “Be Part Of Something,” reserved for LPUnderground members on September 5th. The cryptic nature of the announcement has fueled further speculation that a major reveal is imminent. A message on the band’s official website reads simply: “Be part of something. September 5.”
Linkin Park drops waiver ahead of mystery event
Going by the terms and conditions, fans must abide by all instructions and rules regarding attendance at the event.
Linkin Park has mentioned that fans might be filmed or otherwise recorded at the event before, during or after the Event. The Artist, or any party designated by the Artist, shall have the unfettered right to use any such footage, in whole or in part, and fans’ name, image, voice, and likeness as may be included in such Footage, and that no additional consideration or compensation shall be payable to me individually or to any party defined as part of the “My Releasing Parties.”
One point caught the attention of fans and it seems they could be directed to go somewhere and then the management could escort them to the venue. It read: “…my attendance at the Event, including my agreeing to be transported to and from the Venue, is entirely voluntary. I agree that the “Artist Released Parties” (as defined below) assume no responsibility for my attendance prior, during, or after the Event.”
Another point noted is that the release is irrevocable and shall be binding upon fans and Releasing Parties.

Linkin Park sparked rumors when they posted a mysterious 100-hour countdown timer on their social media accounts. The website URL showed a YouTube livestream with the same timer. Fans speculated that the band might announce a new vocalist to replace Chester Bennington. Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley was rumored to fill in for the late vocalist.
However, as the countdown reached zero, the timer on their website started counting up and it upset the fans. They noted that the timer glitched at specific times, including exactly at 9:05, leading them to think an announcement might come on September 5th. We will have to wait and see what the band has in store for the fans.
The California-based band have recently released the previously unheard ‘Friendly Fire’ featuring Bennington’s vocals. The track was originally recorded for the band’s 2017 sessions for ‘One More Light’. They also released ‘Papercuts (Singles Collection 2000-2023)’ in April, a 20-song overview of the band’s best-selling tracks over the past two decades.
