We reported yesterday that Tool fans were thrilled when the band sent out an email announcing that they would be restructuring their website next month, but now Linkin Park, who have been inactive since the 2017 death of Chester Bennington, have sent out a similar email, so it could be an issue of the same companies running their websites, unless Tool have timed it to coincide with new album news. Maynard James Keenan reported in February that he expected Tool new album to be released in mid-May to mid-July.

Linkin Park sent out the following email this week:

LP Community Member,

On May 1st, LinkinPark.com and LPU will be migrated to a new web and hosting platform. To facilitate this change and support the migration, we took the opportunity to build a new site! Please bear with us as we work hard to launch a new and improved experience for LPU over the coming months.

Please read below for details:

Starting May 1st, the new home for LPU, the LP Community, and the LPU Store will be LPUNDERGROUND.COM while LINKINPARK.COM will remain the official band website. From April 29th to May 1st, both websites may be down intermittently throughout the day. This is temporary but both will be back up online and re-launched on May 1st.
