Speculation has continued to swirl about who could fill the void left by Chester Bennington in Linkin Park. A new name has surfaced that has fans excited, and it’s none other than Kid Brunswick.
Kid Brunswick is the new vocalist of Linkin Park?
Fans have expected the band to look towards an established name, but recent posts and rumors suggest that Linkin Park might be considering someone relatively unknown for the role.
Kid Brunswick, a UK-based artist, has been quietly gaining popularity with his recent releases, blending a mix of metal, electronic, and pop influences. His sound, while distinct, shares a similarity with Linkin Park’s genre-blending approach, making him an intriguing candidate for the band’s new frontman. His ability to scream, combined with his urban vibe, suggests he could bring a unique flavor to Linkin Park’s music, while still being able to honor the legacy of Chester’s powerful vocal performances.
What makes this rumor particularly interesting is the recent announcement from Kid Brunswick himself. Just a few days ago, the artist, whose real name is Harry, revealed that the Kid Brunswick project was “dead,” but hinted that he would continue making music, with more details to come.
This sudden shift has left many fans wondering, given that Brunswick is still relatively underground. By choosing someone who isn’t a household name, Linkin Park band would have the opportunity to shape their new frontman’s role and integrate his style into their evolving sound.
While nothing has been confirmed, the possibility of a new, relatively unknown frontman joining Linkin Park is an exciting prospect.
We reported that Saliva frontman Bobby Amaru and collaborator with Mike Shinoda on the Already Over Sessions, recently fueled speculation that he might be joining Linkin Park as well. Previously, Halestorm frontwoman Lzzy Hale also sparked rumors by dropping a Linkin Park cover song. Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley was also on the list of potential candidates filling in for the late Chester Bennington.
As per Billboard, Linkin Park’s booking agency WME is now taking offers for concerts and festivals featuring Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson and Dave Farrell. Though it’s not clear who will succeed Bennington, it is also reported that the band are looking for a female vocalist for their reunion. Linkin Park’s announcement of an event on September 5th has also got fans excited. The band has invited fans to “Be Part Of Something,” reserved for LPUnderground members on September 5th.
