The candid statement addressed her experience with getting sober and the challenges she faced during her recovery process. Her journey started when she stopped drinking alcohol in 2020.
“Getting sober ain’t always the indication that life is perfect,” Jackson said.
“A few years in, it all got very, very hard for what felt like an eternity. I didn’t have the same survival skills I was used to having to cope. I had to learn to live life on life’s terms.”
Jackson also spoke candidly regarding her mental health challenges and offered support to others facing similar struggles.
“Treatment-resistant major depressive disorder is a b–ch, so is PTSD and OCD,” she continued. “If you’ve got this s–t or anything of the sort, you’re not alone. Hang in there, and if no one’s told you they love you today, I love you.”
This highlights Jackson’s ongoing recovery journey and her commitment to supporting others dealing with mental health and addiction issues. Jackson’s recent post also marks a significant milestone in her recovery.
Her willingness to discuss treatment-resistant major depressive disorder, PTSD, and OCD has also resonated with many followers who share similar struggles.
