UPDATE: Vince Neil was not on the plane, despite owning it.
A plane reportedly owned by Motley Crue singer Vince Neil has crashed in Scottsdale with one death, though it’s unclear if Neil himself was on the plane.
On February 10, 2025, a tragic accident occurred at Scottsdale Airport in Arizona when a Learjet 35A veered off the runway after landing and collided with a parked Gulfstream 200 business jet. The incident took place around 2:45 p.m. local time.
According to emergency responders, one person was pronounced dead at the scene. Three others sustained injuries: two were transported to local trauma centers, and one was taken to a hospital in stable condition. Rescue crews also worked to extricate an individual trapped inside one of the aircraft.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) reported that the Learjet 35A had arrived from Austin, Texas, and veered off the runway upon landing, striking the stationary Gulfstream 200. Preliminary assessments suggest a possible landing gear failure on the Learjet as the cause of the deviation.
Following the collision, Scottsdale Airport’s runway has been closed indefinitely. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances leading to the accident.
This incident adds to a series of recent aviation accidents in the United States, raising concerns about air travel safety. Authorities emphasize the importance of thorough investigations to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
