PANTERA releases statement,

“Ozzy wasn’t just a legend who shaped the very foundation of heavy metal and inspired Pantera from the beginning; he was family.

To allow members of our team the time to mourn, we will be rescheduling & canceling a handful of shows.”

Hours after the news of Ozzy Osbourne’s death broke, thousands of tributes began to pour in from fellow musicians and fans.

Among those who paid their respects to the legendary musician was Eddie Van Halen’s son, who covered Ozzy’s 1991 track “Mama, I’m Coming Home” during his show at Xfinity Theatre in Hartford, CT on Tuesday night (July 22nd).

“That f*cking sucks that we are in a world that doesn’t have Ozzy Osbourne anymore,” he told the audience. “And it was right before we went on soundcheck that we found out. And I thought, ‘Well, we have to do something. Just mentioning it isn’t enough.’ We’ve played through this maybe three times, so please bear with us and sing the f*ck along with us.”
