On Tuesday (July 22nd), Ozzy Osbourne’s family announced via a statement that the 76-year-old legendary musician had passed away. “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love,” they wrote.
Now, the Daily Mail is reporting paramedics were called to the Black Sabbath frontman’s residence and fought for hours in an attempt to save his life.
The outlet claims that a Thames Valley air ambulance landed in a field close to Osbourne’s residence at 10:30 in the morning. It was at this point, according to the Daily Mail, that medics tried to administer life-saving treatment, but ultimately were unsuccessful in their efforts to save him.
A spokesperson for Thames Valley Air Ambulance told the Daily Mail, “We can confirm that our helicopter was dispatched to provide advanced critical care at an incident near Chalfont St Giles yesterday.”
Locals told the publication that they were worried “something serious was happening” when they saw the helicopter.
“We immediately feared it may be for him as he was known to be in fragile health,” one person noted.
While no cause of death has yet been revealed, Osbourne was suffering from multiple health issues, including Parkinson’s disease.
