The first ever photo of The Beatles icon Paul McCartney with Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder has surfaced. The rare photo was taken in 2004 with Linda Ramone, the widow of Johnny Ramone. Vedder and Ramone look cool in the photo, but McCartney looks a bit awkward and caught off guard. Even with a bad look though, he still has a cool swagger! The stars of The CW series Supernatural recently told an embarrassing Eddie Vedder and Adam Sandler story.

A couple of years ago, Vedder revealed that McCartney punched him in the face at a hotel bar when recounting a story about how he punched someone in the past. His acting was too good apparently! Could it have been from the night this photo was taken? Who knows!

“He hit me. He didn’t quite pull back the punch you see,” Vedder recalled when guest hosting on SiriusXM’s Beatles Channel. “As I was listening I was thinking, Paul McCartney just hit me in the face and it hurt. I think I remember tasting a bit of blood, he got me right on the side…and he apologized quickly so it wouldn’t get in the way of the story.”

Vedder called the punching debacle “a fascinating story, a great time in my life actually” to be hit by Sir Paul. “And I remember it hurt for a few days and I remember when it went away when the pain subsided and the swelling went down, I kinda missed it.”
