Paul Stanley Claps Back at Fan Over Son’s Band
Paul Stanley has pushed back against a KISS fan who criticised the music career of his son, Evan Stanley, amid renewed attention on Evan’s hard-rock project with Gene Simmons’ son, Nick Simmons. The exchange unfolded on social media, where the singer addressed a message questioning whether the younger musicians had “earned” their opportunities.
In a sharp response, Stanley told the critic they were blaming others for their own lack of success, adding that even having a famous father “would still get nowhere” if they remained focused on envy rather than self-improvement.
The comments came as fans continue to discuss Stanley Simmons, the band formed by Evan Stanley (vocals, guitar) and Nick Simmons (bass). According to the report, the group started in 2019 after years of playing together and released its debut single “Don’t Look Back” in 2020, leaning into classic hard rock with glam-era influences associated with KISS.
The backlash also echoes earlier online disputes involving the project, including a previous moment when Stanley defended Gene Simmons’ son from attacks as discussion around nepotism and access in rock music continues to flare up on social platforms.
While family connections can open doors, Stanley’s response underlined a familiar view among legacy artists: that long-term progress still depends on work ethic and ability, and that online criticism is unlikely to slow down the younger band’s plans.
