Pearl Jam’s “Just Breathe” was featured on a recent episode of NBC’s new show Rise, which is a show that features high school characters singing songs like FOX’s old show Glee. In the scene, the students are seen singing the song as the character of Lou walks in on them.

Rise is an American musical drama television series created by Jason Katims, starring Josh Radnor of How I Met Your Mother fame in the lead role as Lou Mazzuchelli. The series is inspired by the book Drama High by Michael Sokolove, which focused on real-life teacher Lou Volpe and the famed theater program at Harry S Truman High School in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.

The pilot was ordered to series by NBC on May 4, 2017, along with The Brave, making both series the first regular series orders by the network for the 2017–18 United States network television schedule. The first season will consist of 10 episodes, and debuted on March 13, 2018.

“Just Breathe” appeared on Pearl Jam’s Backspacer album in 2009, produced by Brendan O’Brien. The track has become a live favorite of Pearl Jam fans.
