Pearl Jam sent out two tweets a couple of days ago, and with the band currently on a break and fans looking for anything, it led to a four page thread on the Ten Club boards.

One Pearl Jam tweet showed a photo of a microphone onstage with an empty arena (Philadelphia Spectrum in 2009) that said, “The calm before the storm. #PearlJam.”

The other was a 2005 photo of Jeff Ament in the studio that said, “Taking a break. #JeffAment #PearlJam.”

fgalpern posted, “I’m hoping this means arena tour, but hope even more that it means NEW ALBUM followed by arena tour. Let the speculation begin…”

MayDay10 posted, “It is in an arena, with red seats, and the Mic is pointing slightly toward the East that means an arena tour in either Eastern Canada, or the Southeastern United States.”

RP112579 posted, “They post things like this on social media almost everyday.”

2-feign-reluctance posted, “Some PJ intern is trolling hard.”

Lost In Ohio posted, “Taking a (quick) break from the new album?

Vedd Hedd posted, “The pic of jeff is from 2005. So, not sure if that was just a good pic of jeff they liked, or if it was a pic of jeff taking a break meant to say “they are taking a break from studio work” or if that was a pic of jeff meant to say, ‘WERE ON A BREAK!’. :)”

KST posted, “Wonder if it has anything to do with the just announced NHL team in Seattle and a rumour from a year or so ago about the band doing a Seattle residency as part of a new arena deal for that.”
