Pearl Jam’s Stone Gossard talked to Kyle Meredith about his 2nd Painted Shield album. During the interview, Gossard also discussed Pearl Jam, who announced their rescheduled Gigaton tour dates recently. Gossard talked about having to relearn the new Pearl Jam tracks for the third time and more.

Gossard said that he hopes the Gigaton tour happens and expressed how much he loves touring with the band. While he doesn’t know what’s exactly in store, he’s excited nonetheless and is just happy knowing that things are moving ahead.

“It’s been so long. I love touring with Pearl Jam and for us to be on the road again and playing some consistent shows and kind of just getting back into it, I hope it all still happens. Who knows what’s gonna happen, you know? We’re gonna take it one day at a time but I’m so excited that we are moving ahead.”

Kyle Meredith then mentioned that he saw Tool and Billy Eilish in March at the KFC Yum Center in Louisville. They were back-to-back sold-out shows with 20,000 people in the stadium. Meredith said the energy is something you can’t forget once you experience it.

Stone Gossard said it’s really cool and Tool must have been an awesome show, with the crowds attending these shows being different especially with Tool and Billie Eilish.
