Guns N’ Roses have announced that they will headline the Pinkpop Festival this summer as part of their massive European tour, and it appears that Pearl Jam backed out of performing with GNR at the European mega fest.

MK2 posted on the Ten Club board, “By the way, Guns N Roses just announced for the Pinkpop Sunday 6/21. Along with other dates, May to late June.”

Dimitrispearljam responded, “I’m not getting into details, but Pinkpop was the reason the Pearl Jam tour changed and Amsterdam moved to the back.”

Axl Rose ‘refusing’ a new Guns N’ Roses album demand was recently revealed. Powderfinger posted, “Probably swing the Dublin show. Depends on what the Stones tour looks like. But I kinda want to have seen Guns every time they played Ireland. Thus far I have. Hopefully the stones tour doesn’t cost an arm and a leg….”

Guns N’ Roses have advertised that their European tour will be part of a ‘new chapter’ for the band, and not an extension of the ‘Not In This Lifetime’ tour, fueling speculation that they will finally release their rumored new album, the first time Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan have recorded original music since 1991’s Use Your Illusion albums.

Pearl Jam are also touring Europe next summer, and they are expected to release their new album, the followup to 2013’s Lightning Bolt after a 7 year wait, the longest break in between albums in the band’s near 30-year history. Pearl Jam were ‘threatened’ with tour cancelation by an angry fan.
