A Pearl Jam fan named BrainFateStoker posted his alleged conversation on Facebook with a Ten Club representative on the band’s Reddit after he was frustrated about the lack of a tour date presale, and how the Ten Club obliged his request to cancel his account. A rumored 2020 Pearl Jam North American tour was revealed last week.

Fan: How does a second show in Amsterdam get announced and tickets sold without notification to Ten Club members?

Ten Club: We’ve done it for years. We advocate for going up with multiple shows so we can do the pre sale but sometimes the promoters and agents think it’s best to ‘roll into’ a second show instead. Out of our hands really. Sorry.

Fan: Is there going to be a 10 Club sale for the show?

Ten Club: No sorry.

Fan: Please cancel my Ten Club membership ASAP. FYI – for the 2018 tour Pearl Jam announced the second Amsterdam show on March 30, 2018 and there was a 10c drawing – 4 months after the initial tour announcement on December 1, 2017. Your integrity has been compromised and I no longer wish to be affiliated.

Ten Club: Sorry you feel that way. This isn’t the first time we’ve done this so we must’ve been compromised a long time ago. Again, sorry this happened but it’s out of my control. Thanks for your years of being a fan. I’ll make sure that your membership is canceled and refunded. Did you get any tickets for this tour? You want those canceled too?

Fan: It makes absolutely no sense to pay $50 a year to be a Ten Club member going forward if you are not going to provide opportunity to purchase tickets to every Pearl Jam show. So yes, please cancel my Zurich tickets and send me an email confirmation with refund to my account.

Ten Club: Understood.

McKay0 commented on Reddit, “You took it too far with the ‘integrity’ line, IMO. I believe that they legitimately don’t have control over that specific situation.

That said, I also understand dropping 10C on principle after what happened. The benefits have absolutely been whittled down to only to access to tickets.” A new Pearl Jam album title was revealed by Neil Young last week.
