Pearl Jam and Soundgarden drummer Matt Cameron liked a new comment on Instagram by a fan that appeared to indirectly respond to attacks on Eddie Vedder from Chris Cornell family members.

The comment that Cameron liked stated, “If we were left to believe the narrative that has been pushed since this tragedy happened, we’d have to buy that practically everyone Chris loved are the bad guys: his own daughter Lily, Eddie, Susan Silver, his brother Peter, his mother Karen and now, Kim, Ben, and you, his brothers and co-workers for over 30 years.

Luckily, we all know who the bad guys are. Endless support and love to all of you from all of us who have actually loved and admired not only your quality as musicians but also your integrity as people.”

He also liked a comment that said, “Hope the truth prevails and @soundgarden get what they are entitled to. Unlike *some* people, you, Ben, and Kim have maintained your dignity throughout.”

Cameron liked another comment that said, “Seriously, a person pissing off @themattcameron – a musician so respected and liked that he had the members of two legendary bands (one HoF, one HoF-worthy) agree to share custody of him even when they were running into scheduling conflicts – says A WHOLE LOT about that person. Matt, you’re a large part of what makes your band(s) great and the fans know it.” Chris Cornell’s daughter ripped Eddie Vedder’s wife a couple of weeks ago.
