Kid Rock, Pete Hegseth Appear in Apache Tour Video
Kid Rock launched his Freedom 250 Tour in Dallas with a pre-show video that shows him meeting U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and then riding in Apache helicopters as part of the concert’s introductory segment.
In the clip, Kid Rock arrives on a private jet, greets Mr. Hegseth on the tarmac and exchanges lines about going to the show before the pair high-five and board twin helicopters, Variety reported.
The tour video also nods to a late-March flashpoint involving Kid Rock and the Pentagon, after he posted footage of two Apache helicopters flying near his Nashville home and the Army opened an inquiry into the flyby and suspended crew members involved.
Days later, Mr. Hegseth reversed the decision and posted on social media that there would be “No punishment. No investigation,” a moment that has already been part of the broader discussion around the incident, including questions raised about the Kid Rock flyover during a Hegseth hearing.
In a separate social media post referenced by the report, Kid Rock described the Freedom 250 Tour as a celebration of America and “250 years of freedom,” while teasing that he may arrive at each show by Apache helicopter. The high-profile staging underlines how the musician is continuing to fold overt political imagery into his live show presentation as the tour rolls on.
