On Thursday (Dec. 12), Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello shared a Truth Social post supposedly written by Donald Trump in which the President-elect calls Bruce Springsteen a “communist” and boasts about his son Barron’s guitar skills.
“Recently, Melania took Baron, A GREAT GUITARIST, to see overrated, communist singer, Bruce Springstern. NOT IMPRESSED!!!” Trump’s allegedly wrote.
In response, Morello offered up his own son, Roman, in a guitar challenge against Barron Trump.
“My 13 year old son Roman will step forward to defend Springsteen’s honor and destroy Barron in a guitar competition. Just name the time and place!!!” Morello tweeted.
The now viral Truth Social post in question, which misspells Trump’s son Barron’s name, has since been debunked, with fact checkers claiming the post appears to be an altered screenshot and that there is no evidence of the post on Trump’s Truth Social account.
