Tim Commerford, longtime member of Rage Against the Machine, is splitting up with his wife after she filed documents to end the couple’s marriage.

According to court records, obtained by The Blast, Aleece Commerford filed documents November 28th in Los Angeles County to file for divorce from her husband, former Rage Against The Machine and Audioslave bassist Tim Commerford. The couple were married in 2001 and have two children.

According to the documents, Aleece lists the date of separation as Tuesday, and she’s asking for physical custody of the two children and spousal support from the 90’s alternative rock legend. The family lives in Malibu, and Aleece reportedly works in the medical field, and as an AIDS activist. It’s unclear what caused the split between the couple.

Commerford currently plays in the supergroup Prophets of Rage with his longtime RATM and Audioslave bandmates Tom Morello and Brad Wilk, along with Public Enemy’s Chuck D and Cypress Hill’s B-Real and DJ Lord.
