CHICAGO ALT ROCKERS CELEBRATE WORLD SERIES WIN
The Chicago Cubs’ victorious World Series run is making headlines everywhere and plenty of Chicago alt. rockers and bands are celebrating on Twitter. From Smashing Pumpkins, and Disturbed, to Rise Against and Liz Phair, plenty of Illinois-born musicians were watching on the edge of their seats as the wild game between the Cubs and Cleveland Indians went into extra innings before the Cubs finally won 8-7, a little after midnight, Central time. Chris Cornell celebrated on behalf of bandmate guitarist Kim Thayil who is from Chicago. Smashing Pumpkins drummer Jimmy Chamberlin also tweeted.
