Lol. Actually, ‘Someone’ minored in American Literature with a major in History and concentration in Operatic Theatre, during her first foray into higher education. I dropped out halfway through my degree, after having my child. The marrow quote is Henry David Thoreau.
It speaks more to giving up the material items and conveniences deemed essential by society and living by one’s own in order to interpret happiness and the meaning of life for one’s self. AK tends to cloister while he’s writing.
At least he seems happy while doing it now and is not tempted into the nether by the darkness anymore. TLDR: I’m glad he’s accepting of himself and where his place in this life is, without leaning on chemical dependency. 😉
