Bon Jovi’s Richie Sambora recently shared the only condition for Jon Bon Jovi to get back on stage.

Richie Sambora shares his condition

In a new episode of Howie Mandel Does Stuff, he spoke about Bon Jovi’s Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction and the host asked Sambora if it was the only time Jon and he played together before he left the band.

“Yes and no. Publicly. Yes, publicly,” the rocker answered.

The host then asked whether or not Jon had been singing.

“He’s having a little problem,” Sambora responded.

The host also mentioned another interview where Sambora said he would be open for a reunion if Jon’s voice was better.

“I would have to do it. My spirit would feel [good],” he added. Sambora’s condition might be a difficult one to accomplish considering Bon Jovi’s ongoing vocal struggles.

It has been a couple of years since the rocker underwent vocal surgery. However, he is still healing and it doesn’t seem he will be going on tour anytime soon. The frontman confirmed that he wouldn’t be able to tour for the album, ‘Forever.’

A few months back, the frontman recalled the first time trying to sing after his vocal surgery.

“It was hard because you speak and you say, ‘Okay, I sound like me.’ When you hear yourself back through the speakers that’s when you hear yourself for the first and I didn’t sound like me,” he explained. “Like I said that was 15-16 months ago. So that threw me for a loop and by the time I got around to making the record it was all good but the initial reaction was a shock because of the change. So you have to get over that and the healing wasn’t done yet.”

The singer reckoned that he isn’t yet ready to sing at his full potential but he wishes to do so. “It’s a work in progress.”

“There’s no miracle. I just wish there was a f*cking light switch. I’m more than capable of singing again. The bar is now: can I do two and a half hours a night, four nights a week? The answer is no.”

He also mentioned that he has been undergoing special therapy sessions for his voice and that he has done everything possible to improve it.
