Richie Sambora Reposts Fan Jabs at Jon Bon Jovi

Former Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora has sparked fresh chatter about his relationship with Jon Bon Jovi after resharing fan posts that criticised the band’s current line-up ahead of its announced 2026 return to the road. The reposts, made on X, leaned into long-running fan arguments that Sambora’s presence is essential to the group’s identity as talk builds around the band’s next touring cycle.

Sambora shared messages from fans saying “You are not Bon Jovi without Richie,” while another post suggested there is “NO Bon Jovi” without him, positioning the activity as a pointed public response to the idea of the band moving forward without his involvement.

The episode arrives with Bon Jovi’s 2026 tour plans already drawing attention, and the guitarist’s social media behaviour is being read by some as an indirect message aimed at his former bandmate. Sambora has been absent from Bon Jovi since his 2013 exit, which he previously attributed to burnout from touring and a desire to focus on family responsibilities.

The reposts also tap into a familiar storyline for the band’s fanbase, which has repeatedly called for a reunion; Alternative Nation has previously tracked the ongoing friction in coverage of Jon Bon Jovi detailing Richie Sambora’s betrayal during past discussions about their relationship.

For now, neither side has announced any change to the band’s current touring line-up, and Sambora has not confirmed plans to return. The latest burst of activity, however, underscores how quickly reunion talk can flare when either musician interacts with fan commentary in public.
