American rock band Green Day recently joined the craze over ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ in a unique way. During their Saviors tour on Monday, band members dressed as the iconic characters Deadpool and Wolverine and joined Billie Joe Armstrong on stage. Actor Ryan Reynolds even shared a video of the band on social media.
Ryan Reynolds wrote on his Instagram, “I’m crying. I love you, @GreenDay. I can’t feel my life right now #deadpoolandwolverine (sic).”
During their performance in New York, Green Day drummer Tre Cool and bassist Mike Dirnt surprised the audience by joining Billie Joe on stage dressed as Marvel characters, Deadpool and Wolverine, respectively.
A video shared on the band’s social media shows Armstrong struggling to maintain his composure as his costumed bandmates playfully disrupted the performance. The highlight of the performance was when Cool embraced his Deadpool character at the song’s end, shouting ‘Baby knife,’ the character’s signature line.
For the unversed, Green Day’s heartfelt ballad, ‘Good Riddance’ was featured in ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’s’ end credits. The song provided a nostalgic backdrop to a touching montage of behind-the-scenes footage from the Fox Marvel universe.
The film ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’, backed by Shawn Levy, stars Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds in lead roles. It is currently running in theatres.

Meanwhile, Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong recently got the band in trouble. There have been calls for the Secret Service to investigate the band as Armstrong protested against former President Donald Trump disgustingly.
The band encountered calls for a boycott as Armstrong decided held up a Trump mask. He even altered the lyrics of ‘American Idiot’ to “I’m not a part of a MAGA agenda” just weeks after the former president was shot.
A video clip on X depicted that Billie Joe Armstrong sparked controversy with his actions. He labeled Donald Trump an “idiot” and the mask represents a dead or defeated Trump. It comes a few weeks after Donald Trump was nearly assassinated.
