With electrifying hooks, wickedly infectious grooves and addictive melodies, Scotty Seed possesses listeners with a punk rock attitude filtered  through an electric, pop driven filter. The result of the Frankenstein-esque creation is the insanely fun, Single.

Three songs is all it takes for Scotty Seed to perfectly assemble his unique take on contemporary music. Seemingly without effort, Scotty Seed produces instantly remarkable melodies- but not the same old melodies you’re used to hearing. The vocal effects and placement of emphasis throughout the melodies on the latter two tracks from Single really help to put this artist’s true talent on full display.

If you’re reading this right now, “Pig”, the third and final track from Single needs to jump to number one on your must listen list. The fuzzy guitar at the top of this bombshell of a track leads into a really retro, really 90’s feel. The subdued, quiet-verse-loud-chorus vibe really drives home the alternative feel of “Pig.” In addition to a great 90’s feel, there is some late-era Marlyin Manson in there. A hint of the poppier Nine Inch Nails also rears its head and it’s all welcome because these influences along with Scotty Seed’ s undeniable approach is what helps to create unbelievable art.

True artists evoke emotion. They create something explosive. A real living thing. Scotty Seed’s Single is as much a living, breathing piece of work as I can remember. Undeniably individualistic with a wink and nod to it’s influences and a clear definition of intent and the wild possibilities to come. If Single is to be taken as a sample-sized teaser of the very bright future for Scotty Seed, do yourself a favor and listen to this. Don’t let this be the artist everyone tells you to check out after the face. Get out in front and get on board with Scotty Seed! Go tell everyone to check out and I’d imagine they’ll thank you for it!
