Smashing Pumpkins Throw Out First Pitch At Cubs Game, Did They Blow It?

Smashing Pumpkins members Billy Corgan, James Iha, and Jimmy Chamberlin attended Sunday’s Chicago Cubs vs. Washington Nationals game at Wrigley Field. The game was broadcast on ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball. Touring bassist Jack Bates was also present, while guitarist Jeff Schroeder was absent. Drummer Jimmy Chamberlin threw out the first pitch as his bandmates looked on, and according to reports he threw a solid pitch.

The band returned for the 7th inning stretch, singing “Take Me Out To The Ballgame.” You can watch video of that and photos of the first pitch below.
