Steven Tyler Reveals Secret After Bad Health Rumor

Southern California was hit by two earthquakes on Thursday and Friday, and Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler felt the power of the quakes all the way in Las Vegas. Aerosmith are currently in town for their ‘Deuces Are Wild’ residency, and they performed on the 4th of July.

Tyler wrote on Instagram along with a photo, “GUESS SIN CITY HAD MORE THAN ONE EARTHQUAKE YESTERDAY… A LITTLE SECRET… WE MAKE OUR OWN FIREWORKS! 💥💥💥💥💥#AEROSMITH #DEUCESAREWILD #4THOFJULY @aerosmith 📷@katbenzova_rockphoto.”

Drummer Joey Kramer took a short break from the band in April after a ‘minor accident,’ and a fan on the Aeroforce forums is concerned for his health.

SeanGod posted, “Remember rumors are rumors, so take this with what you will. Some people who went to the 7/2 and 7/4 shows have been tweeting about how horrible Joey looks and that he is in rough shape.”

Nevada5 posted, “We went to the Tuesday, July 2 and Thursday, July 4 shows. Both shows were great and the extra time between the 2 shows I saw in April and these 2 shows did show how much more comfortable they had become with the venue and the experience. Tuesday night the guys were all getting along. Steven and Joe were laughing, Brad was laughing. The music sounded great. But the 4th’s show blew everything out of the water. Steven was in an excellent mood and the energy of the band and the crowd was amazing! When Steven came out for the encores carrying the American flag, the arena started chanting. “USA, USA”. During the introductions I got a wave from Brad, a fist bump from Tom, and Steven grab my hand and arm. He also talked with my husband and flipped his Aerosmith hat off his head. During “Sweet Emotion”, Tom stood right in front of me, played for me and gave me one his goofy faces. Joe was standing in front of me right before he started “Stop Messin'” (which had a great jam session to it) and I told him he looked good in his black suit and white tie. He said “thank you”. The music was hot and the place was rocking. I don’t think Aerosmith have sounded better than they did last night.

Our seats were on Tom and Brad’s side, right at the catwalk, about 3 rows away from the end. Great place because the chairs they put out for Steven and Joe are right in front of you and Steven’s piano comes up where you can get the best shots of him playing (I’d post some pics, but can’t seem to get them posted correctly). The ushers don’t let people rush up to the sides of the catwalk, but still good to make friends with them. As we left Tuesday night, we told our usher that we’d be back on the 4th and in the same seats. She remembered us when we got there last night. Sure wish I had the time and money to go again. And I ate up hearing “Chip Away’ twice.”
