The 40-Year Old Virgin and Knocked Up director Judd Apatow shared a rare photo of Stone Temple Pilots’ DeLeo brothers jamming with his baby daughter Maude in the late 90’s on Instagram.
“Vasoline” is in Apatow’s film This Is 40, starring Paul Rudd. The song is played during a scene while Megan Fox is swimming in her bikini. Paul Rudd’s character Pete also owns a record label and in his office he has up a large framed photo of Dean DeLeo from STP’s iconic House of Blues show from the No. 4 era. There is also a large Purple promo poster up in his house. This wasn’t the first STP reference in a Judd Apatow project, on his short lived FOX TV series Undeclared the songs “Down” and “Seven Caged Tigers” were played.
Apatow said a few years ago, “I love to write to STP songs. It always gets my juices flowing. Then it makes me want to hit someone.”

Stone Temple Pilots guitarist Dean DeLeo celebrated his 56th birthday on Tuesday, and his wife shared a previously unseen childhood photo. DeLeo recently attended a Royal Blood concert in Los Angeles and was photographed with Matt Pinfield, you can also see a photo of that below as well.
