Ted Nugent Supports John Fetterman’s Call to Lower Political Tension
Ted Nugent’s known for being a rockstar, but also a very vocal conservative on social media. That’s exactly why Nugent surprised many by agreeing with Sen. John Fetterman, after the senator told Democrats to stop comparing former President Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler.
Nugent took to twitter and said that it was a “rare decent sensible statement his nasty evil party will defy,” showing he actually backed Fetterman’s call to cool down the political tension. After all, things are obviously very sensitive at the moment.

Fetterman made his comments on CNN after Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk was shot and killed. He warned that calling anyone “Hitler” only adds anger and danger. “We have to turn the temperature down,” Fetterman said. He explained that while Trump is “different,” he is not an autocrat and was chosen in a democratic vote.
Agreeing on the Need for Cooler Talk
Nugent is a strong Trump supporter known for divisive political opinions and regularly attacks Democrats for what he sees as harmful speech. This time he agreed with Fetterman that extreme words can lead to violence. Nugent usually speaks about protecting the Constitution and personal freedom, but here he focused on keeping debates peaceful and that was pretty different from what people are used to.
Both Nugent and Fetterman are sending the same message, which is that words matter in the end. They believe comparing rivals to dictators or using scary labels only makes fights worse and can lead to tragedy.
Now it just remains to be seen if other members of the Republican and Democratic parties can work together and change gun laws that ultimately led to Charlie Kirk’s unfortunate asssination.
