Jake and Romy Reiner, children of Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner, have each other’s back after their parents’ passing.

Jake, and Romy are still coming to terms with their parents’ passing after the bodies of Rob, and Michele were found inside the Reiner family’s Los Angeles home on December 14th, as per PEOPLE. The couple’s other son, Nick, is facing a couple of counts of first-degree murder in connection with their deaths.
“This nightmare isn’t even over for Romy and Jake. There is a lot more to be done, but they’ve been surrounded by loved ones and support in all forms, and that will continue,” the insider said.
“Romy and Jake have been close since they were young. That strong bond has really helped them in the last two weeks,” the source of the outlet continued.
The siblings have been trying to keep themselves busy following the tragedy. “Romy and Jake are going out for walks or errands, trying to embrace any opportunities for moments of normalcy when it feels right, but this is all still so new and overwhelming,” the source tells PEOPLE.
The insider adds, “It’s surreal. They’re still processing and their grief journey has really just begun.”
Nick is being held without bail at Twin Towers Correctional Facility in Los Angeles.
As per the Los Angeles Times and KNBC, Nick was being treated for schizophrenia before the killings. Rob and Michele’s official death certificates state that the couple died of “multiple sharp force injuries” caused “with [a] knife, by another.” The manner of death was listed as homicide.
